Dance Recital Card

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!  I had a wonderful and relaxing day yesterday doing a little crafting and hanging out poolside with kiddos!  I plan on doing the same today on this bEaUtIfUl Sunday.  My DD's recital is approaching quickly (next weekend) and it should be quite a busy weekend with Pointe, Hip Hop, and Production dances.   So, yesterday I went ahead and made her a card for her special day.  For the shape of this card I used my Home Decor Cricut cartridge along with my Gypsy to weld the shapes together to create the base of the card.  I also used CTMH's 'Aspire' stamp set which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a must have.  The images on the front of the card are embossed on a layer of vellum paper.  I also used vellum on the interior of the card with a sentiment also from the 'Aspire' stamp set.  I am so very thrilled with the way this card turned out.  The photos do it no justice..... it is so much more in person!  Enjoy!

Happy Friday & New Layout To Share!

Happy Happy Friday!  And a happy beginning of summer vacation to my kiddos and all other kids & teachers that are already out for the summer!  It's definitely feeling like summer here with temps in the upper 90s and at times hitting those triple digits already!  We've put our pool up and are in the process of filling it up.  Hoping to have the salt in it and dissolved by tomorrow!  Sadly, I haven't been doing much scrapping this lately, kept thinking about it, but never really got around to it.  Last week was just one of those 'BLAH' weeks.  But, I think I  am finally over that and I now have a couple of projects to share.  The first is my DD's invitations for her 12th birthday.  She was in charge of picking all of her papers (she's not a fan of 'matchy, matchy')! :)  I think they came out okay, but of course my daughter lOvEd them.... and that's all that really counts!  I also threw together a quick one page layout of my little boy.  For this layout I used CTMH's 'Fanfare' B&T Duos paper, CTMH's 'Enjoy Life' stamp set, my Cricut, and my Gypsy.  I LOVE how this page turned out and adore the way the photos flowed with the papers!    I hope you all have a mArVeLoUs weekend!
