Just trying to get through the week....

Happy Tuesday to all of my fellow bloggers!  As most of you know, my daughter is away for the week at the Goddard Youth Camp... and I am missing her terribly! :`(  On top of that.... my husband, who works in the Oil business as an MWD hand, just left about an hour ago for work and will most likely be gone for a couple of weeks....again, :`( .  AND....on top of THAT.... the weather today is rainy and gloomy!  What a day.... what a day!

So, I have been keeping myself busy with my paper, stamps, and Cricut!  There's nothing like crafting to bring your spirits up!  Below are a few projects that I worked on for my dear hubby and beautiful daughter.  I would also like to take this time to thank all of my new followers for stopping by and paying me a visit!  Don't forget to enter my 100 follower giveaway here!  I will be drawing a winner on the morning of April 11, 2011!  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening!

Mailed this card out to my daughter today!  Hoping she'll like it! :)

Wallet/Gift Card Holder

Happy Sunday to all my friends out there!  Whew... it's been a purty busy day here in the Childress household.  Got my dear 11 yr old daughter all packed up and ready to leave tomorrow morning.  She was one of 50 students at her school to test the highest and selected to attend a week at the Goddard Youth Camp in Oklahoma.  Again, her mommy & daddy are extremely proud!  Though, I am also sad because I have never been away from my baby girl this long! *feel tears forming already*  I had purchased her a 'wallet card' from Hobby Lobby and decided to make her a 'gift card holder' for it.  I got this idea at Splitcoaststampers and am so glad that I ran across it.  The tutorial was super easy to follow and the card holder only took about 10 mins to put together.  After completing it, I slipped it into her suitcase so that she'll be able to find a little something special from her mama while she is away. *again, tears beginning to form in mamma's eyes*  Anyhoo, here's hoping that everyone is having a fAbUlOuS Sunday!  This project was also entered in K Andrew's Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky.  Enjoy my newest creation below:

Love me some cRaFt shopping!

Hello fellow bloggers!  I hope that everyone's week is going well thus far.  I have been exhausted lately and just can't seem to get 'good' sleep at night.  Ugh!  So today I decided to go out for a bit, just to get out of the house. The weather has been beautiful here in TX lately, so I didn't want to spend the day cooped up once again.  I stopped by Joann's and Michael's and picked up a few goodies.... got gReAt deals!  I picked up two K&Company paper pads at $7.99 a piece and 1 DCWV pad at $9.99!  Not bad!  :)  I also decided to pick up a couple of sets of the Marvy Le Plume II double ended markers.  Each pack contains 12 markers and I got them for $11.99 a pack!

You can guess what I did next.....  yup!.... I came home and played with my goodies!  Loved the markers, even though this was my very first time coloring stamps.  I had tons of fun making the following two cards and hope to maybe get another project or two in after the kiddos get to bed.  :)  For now, please enjoy my new creations below.  Have a fAbUlOuS evening and rest of the week!

***Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway.... ya'll have until April 10, 2011!***

These are the markers that I picked up at Joann's today for a great steal!

~*~sTuPeNdOuS SUNDAY!~*~

Hello all!  Ahhh, what a wonderful & lazy day I have spent!  Once again, I was able to get some crafting in!  This was after my beautiful 11 yr old daughter fixed a nice BIG 'ol breakfast for the fam!  I love those special moments and am grateful that she enjoys cooking!

So today I decided to tackle a new project.  Took a couple of tries, but then FINALLY nailed it!  I was able to put together a couple of paper roses using flower cuts from my cricut.  I got the idea from a Olivia's Creative Inspiration!  Her step-by-step tutorial is fabulous and easy to follow!  I also squeezed in a simple thank you card for my pet sitters who will be taking care of all of my babies while we are away on spring break!  I was blessed to meet these two fabulous ladies four years ago and wouldn't trust any other person with my babies (4 dogs, a guinea pig, miniature horse, and miniature goat!).  As you can all tell, we are huge animal lovers!  I hope you all enjoy today's creations!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! XOXO

The flowers were cut from the Forever Young cartridge (pg 73) at 2 1/2".
This was the finished product & I ABSOLUTELY love how they turned out!
Of course, I used sTiCkLeS to sparkle them up a bit! :)
This is the 'thank you' card.  Only thing I cut from the cricut was the tag from Cupcake Wrappers at 2" and the leaves from the Stamping cartridge at 2 1/2".  The flower  embellishment and ribbon were picked up from the dollar bin at Joann's!
The 'thank you' stamp is from My Pink Stampers 'Everyday Life' collection.
And as always........ sTiCkLes!

Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday Entry

Happy Saturday to all!  I have had a wonderful day and was able to get some crafting done!  YAY!  The other day I received my Crafter's Companion Ultimate Craft and Scrapbook Tool that I ordered from HSN.  I absolutely love it and think it's quite a nifty tool!  I have been using it for the past couple of days and was able to make some interesting cards that I never thought possible!  This tool combined with my Cricut and Cuttlebug is a huge hit!  I decided to participate in My Pink Stampers 'Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday' and share the card posted below.  This is my very first blog hopping experience and I am thrilled to be a part of it!  The challenge was to create something with a 'Spring' theme.  So I put my Ultimate Craft and Scrapbook Tool to the test and created the following 'K-card'.  Enjoy & comments are always welcome... I would love your feedback! Have a tErRiFic weekend!

Happy Thursday to all!

I've been MIA for a few days due to a crazy busy schedule! My daughter had dance competitions in Oklahoma last weekend and is preparing for her next competition in Dallas on the 19th. Her hip hop group did *fAbUlOuS* last Sunday, placing 1st place! We are so very proud of her and blessed to have such a talented daughter! Between my last post and today, I was able to squeeze in a couple of projects. As always, I hope you all enjoy!

I put this card together the morning of my daughter's dance competition!  She lOvEd it! <3 I used the Gypsy to weld her name together and the stamps are from My Pink Stamper's 'Everyday Life Collection' & 'Family & Friends' collection.  I used my cuttlebug to emboss the border, Stampin' Up ink, glitter cardstock, ribbon, white pigment pen for the stiching on the stars, ribbon, purple rhinestones and LOTS of Stickles for her name!

I put this card together yesterday realizing that St. Patty's day is right around the corner!  I am quite pleased with the finished product!  The shamrock was cut from the Designer's Calendar Cartridge.  The "Happy St. Patrick's Day" stamp is from My Pink Stampers 'Happiest Moments' collection, the face stamp is from Peachy Keen's Pk-570 'Basic Paper Doll Face' assortment package and the ink is from Stampin' Up.
